As the name implies, railspur.com is dedicated to issues involving facilities that are served by Class I or short line railroads.  This covers the design and installation of the track, the equipment to move and spot the railcars, the equipment used to load and unload the railcars, and other equipment that is involved in these functions. 

We added processlocomotive.com as a sub-group of this site to address a new type of locomotive that is designed to make locomotives very user friendly and easy to maintain.  These locomotives are repowered with EPA approved engines and controlled by PLC microprocessors and/or HMI computers with graphics interfaces.  These locomotives are designed for in plant switching, short lines, and light rail services.

By clicking on the items in the site directory you will be taken to pages that provide other information that may be of interest to you.  This can be a starting point for your research into many of these related subjects.  Some subjects are well covered on this site while others simply provide links to other sites where these subjects are covered in more detail.
